Ex. Joseph & Randolph Clay Collection (1806/8-1881/5)
Ex. Charles M. Noll Collection.
A fantastic, 19th century example of lazulite from this historic Austrian locale. This specimen hosts a group of complex, intense blue crystals of lazulite on matrix. The lazulite crystals have sharp, lustrous faces with marked translucence and gorgeous blue color. This specimen retains a previous label from the Noll collection and also retains an affixed label from the Clay collection. The Clay brothers actually built what was one of the largest and most important mineral collections in private hands during the mid 1800’s.
