Post-mining Azurite Cast after Mining Timber-

This specimen consists of successive layers of post-mining azurite that coated an old mining timber, forming a thick, dense “cast” around the timber. The grain of the timber can clearly be seen on the reverse of the specimen. This seldom seen material comes from very old workings within the mine.
